東北の被災地復興を目指してさまざまなクリエーター、建築家とのコラボレーションを行ってきたKEN OKUYAMA DESIGNの考え方を象徴する城壁都市型のスマートコンパクトシティ。そのひとつひとつは、津波から人々を守る高さ15mの城壁上に築かれ、中央に病院や学校などの公共施設や商業施設、周辺には低層の住宅が立ち並び、城壁内部には水産加工工場や漁港などこの地の産業が集約され、ここに暮らす人々の働く場所となります。消費電力と発電量のピークをずらしながら全体のエネルギー収支をコントロールする超スマートシティであり、家庭と職場を近接させ、この地の産業や暮らしぶりが同じ場所に集約された、人が主役のコンパクトシティでもあります。
それぞれのシティ間はオンデマンド型の自動操縦バスで結ばれ、地方都市における第3の交通機関のモデルケースとなります。またバスが入れない場所は小型の一人乗りpod carが移動手段となり、クリーンで安全な移動を提供する小型モビリティロボットの実験都市でもあります。人、情報、文化の流れをコンパクトにまとめ、屋根のソーラーセルや螺旋風車によって集められる再生可能エネルギーを効率よく循環させる”SMART COMPACT CITY”は、被災地の復興をバネに世界をリードする新世代スマートシティのひとつの姿です。
The smart compact city, symbolizing the KEN OKUYAMA DISIGN’s approach, was conceptualized for the restoration of the earthquake disaster, with the corroboration of various creators and architects.
Each city is guarded by 15 meter walls from tsunamis, equipped with public facilities such as marine products processing facilities, hospitals, schools and shopping malls, and houses surround them. It will be the base for those who live and work in the city.
The city’s energy generation is controlled according to its consumption; this compact ultra-smart city is designed for habitants to play the leading role.
Each city is connected by on-demand automated buses, leading to be the model for the next generation’s public transport. On narrower streets, the single seater “pod car” will be the means of transportation. Experiments will be conducted in these cities for clean and safe transportation systems and robots.
Combining people, information and culture, as well as renewable energy collected by solar cells and windmills, the “SMART COMPACT CITY” will be the leading smart cities of the world driven by the will to the restoration of the earthquake.
