JR東日本の北陸新幹線E7/W7系の内・外装デザインを担当しました。
北陸地方の多彩な文化を走る北陸新幹線は「和の未来」がキーワード。北陸の青い空、九谷焼の白、そして象眼細工などに使われる銅色は、新しい日本の新幹線に相応しい鮮烈な外装色です。室内には、沿線の多彩な文化や四季折々の要素を随所にちりばめています。
KEN OKUYAMA DESIGN supervised everything from exterior to interior of JR EAST Type E7 and W7 Hokuriku Shinkansen.
The design concept is ” The future of Japanese sense of harmony” which reflects the traditional culture of Hokuriku region where the train is passing by.This vivid exterior colors of Japanese brand-new Shinkansen are inspired from the blue sky of Hokuriku, the white of pottery and the bronze from inlay work. We also used traditional elements of the sequence of the seasons and colorful local culture along the railroad line.
