E3山形新幹線

2014年より運行を開始している山形新幹線「つばさ」の外観デザインを担当しました。
深い紫は山形の県鳥「おしどり」をモチーフとし、帯には県花「紅花」が生花から染料になるまでに黄色から赤色へと変化していく色の移ろいをグラデーションで表しました。蔵王の雪の白をバックに、これらの色と形を通して山形の彩り豊かな自然の恵みと新幹線の持つ躍動感を表現しています。
シンボルマークには、「桜とふきのとう」「紅花とサクランボ」「稲穂とリンゴ」「蔵王の樹氷」を描き、美しい山形の四季折々を表しました。
New Yamagata Shinkansen “Tsubasa”,the exterior designed by KEN OKUYAMA DESIGN, started its operation from April 2014.
The deep purple line on its body is inspired from Yamagata prefecture bird “Mandarin Duck “,and the line dyed with gradation in yellow to red is inspired from prefecture flower “Safflower”. Thanks to the contrast of these colors on its white body like Zao snow and its form, the Tsubasa is expressed blessings of nature in Yamagata and dynamism of the Shinkansen.
The design of the symbol was inspired by the beautiful four seasons of Yamagata, expressing the “cherry blossoms and butterbur sprouts”, “safflowers and cherries”, “ears of rice plants and apples” and the “hoar frosted Zao Mountain”
This new Yamagata Shinknasen serves for attracting a greater number of guests to appealing Yamagata.
