2015年10月初旬、「オクト KEN OKUYAMA DESIGN 日本限定モデル」が発表されました。
奥山清行と自動車への情熱を共にする古くからの友人、BULGARIのデザインディレクター・ファブリツィオ・ボナマッサによって、イタリアと日本という”文化と感性を尊重する２つの国”、自動車と時計に共通する”明確な機能に裏付けられた機械の美しさ”。その２つのコンセプトに基づく、繊細で力強いモダン様式の腕時計が誕生しました。
３針カレンダー付きの”ソロテンポ”そしてクロノグラフの”ヴェロチッシモ”の限定モデルです。
BULGARIとの出会いで奥山が再解釈したのはオリジナルカーkode9のダッシュボードからのインスピレーション。黒と赤のカラースキームは、レーザーカットによるイタリックのアラビア数字と１２時の赤いアワーマークと相まって、モータースポーツのスピード感と精緻感を表現する中心的役割を担っており、”ソロテンポ”の簡潔な美しさはオクトの持つ力強さにもふさわしい仕上がりです。クロノグラフの”ヴェロチッシモ”では、時分サブダイアルを縁取るメタリックのエレメントでスポーティさがより際立ちます。
そのコンセプトは、両モデルに共通するkode9のホイールにインスパイアーされたサファイアガラスのケースバックにも表れており、黒のアリゲーターストラップに施された鮮烈なレッドステッチがオクトの力強さに完璧な仕上げを加え、その建築的なラインを際立たせます。

Very delicate and strong watch with a modern style has been born on 2 concepts : “Esteeming own culture and sensitivity of Italy and Japan” then “A beauty of machine being backed up with defined functions as cars and watches”. It is produced by Kiyoyuki Okuyama and design director of BULGARI Fabrizio Buonamassa , 2 friends sharing the passion for the automobile since long ago.
“Solo Tempo” which has 3 hands with the calendar and “Velocissimo” chronograph limited models.
Okuyama reinterpreted the dashboard of our original car kode9 as an inspiration when he met this opportunity for BULGARI. The color scheme of black and red emphasize the sense of speed and refined feeling of motor sports with the laser cut Arabic numbers in italic and a red hour mark at 12. These elements complete simple beauty of “Solo Tempo” fitting to the power that OCTO series has. And the metallic trimming on hour/min small dials is giving more sportiness on “Velocissimo” chronograph.
The concept that you can see also on the common case back of sapphire glass is inspired from the wheel of kode9, the vivid red stitch on black alligator strap refines the completeness of power of OCTO and emphasizes architectural lines.
