The 9th General Meeting of the Council for the Promotion of Education Nation, which was established by 170 Diet members and 90 private-sector experts in the nonpartisan Diet with the aim of rebuilding Japan through educational reform, was held on May 11 at the First Diet Members’ Building of the House of Representatives.

The Chairman of the Council, Mr. Hirofumi Shimomura, former Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of the Liberal Democratic Party, as well as many Diet members and private-sector experts participated in the meeting, and each subcommittee of the private-sector experts’ group presented the proposals they had compiled.
Our CEO, Mr. Okuyama, who also serves as secretary of the council, presented the second subcommittee’s proposal, “Eliminate regional disparities, family disparities, and disability disparities, and diversify education.
